Business owners traditionally regard the annual audit as a cost centre - a necessary evil that adds no value to the business.  Frankly, this is often the case but the rules on statutory audits have now been relaxed to the point that most owner managed businesses do not require a statutory audit and so can use the fees for other purposes.  A thorough review of financing and the associated costs?  A comprehensive tax plan?  Retirement strategies?
